Stonehenge Visitor Centre

Stonehenge one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe.

The Stonehenge Environmental Improvements Programme is supported by donors including The Heritage Lottery Fund, The Monument Trust, The Wolfson Foundation, Fidelity UK Foundation, The Linbury Trust, The Headley Trust and Garfield Weston Foundation.

Culture Secretary Maria Miller said: “Stonehenge is one of the UK’s most iconic sites, undeniably worthy of its Unesco world heritage status, attracting one million tourists every year from the UK and all over the world. “So, it’s only right that, after decades of indecision, we can now offer them a visitor exhibition centre and experience they deserve.”

Gibbs Surfacing was pleased to be awarded this prestigious project and work with English Heritage. Apart from the standard base (AC32) binder (AC20) and surface course (AC10 ) Gibbs layed Ulticolour 10mm Buff Natural Quartzite.
